It's not too often that something this cool happens to the good folks up in the great white north. After all Canada is mostly moose, hockey, and Hart Family members. But this news should warm the Rush driven innards of our perpetually frozen Canadian friends. The Blackburn Asylum (FKA Blackburn) will see wide theatrical release across Canada via our friends at Raven Banner Entertainment. The film stars Canadian horror icons, The Soska Sisters (American Mary) along with Lochlyn Munro (Friday the 13th (2009)) and Emilie Ullerup. The film will see its theatrical release supplemented by a release on the Playstation Network and X-Box Video on December the 13th. Check out the poster, synopsis, trailer, and some stills from The Blackburn Asylum below,
"A forest fire and rock-slide trap five bickering college friends in a small Alaskan ghost town with a horrifying history. When they seek refuge inside the torched ruins of Blackburn Asylum they must fight to survive as the angry inhabitants slaughter the friends one-by-one."
