Long time readers of the site (thanks to both of you) are well aware that we, here at the DW are huge, we are talking Donald Trump level UUUUGGGE. fans of The Movie Crypt Podcast hosted by Adam Green (the good Frozen) and Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn 2). That being said, we often don't ape news that they break about their personal careers on the show, because that's for them to get the clicks on the their own personal sites/social media outlets with. But we are going to be breaking our self imposed rule here because what Lynch and Green are going to attempt to do is one of the most altruistic things we've heard of in a very long time and it's a cause extremely near and dear to our hearts.
From 7pm PST (that's 10pm EST for those of you who don't understand how time zones work) on August the 5th through 7pm PST (see above) August the 7th Green and Lynch as part of their highly successful movie Crypt Podcast, will be on the air live for 72 hours straight. While that may seem crazy it's all for a great cause, to raise awareness and funds for one of the great volunteer Yorkie rescue organizations, Save A Yorkie Rescue Inc., a 503c charity dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned Yorkies.
I mentioned above that this charity is near and dear to our hearts around the DreadWorld offices. Misses Joshua and I have rescued 2 Yorkies over the past decade, dogs that were living lives where they were not receiving adequate care, or in the second case driving 3 hours to save Gio who was only hours from being put down. We don't ask you to do a lot at the DW. Hell show up and read, that's about it. But we would appreciate it if you would lend and ear to The Movie Crypt between the 5th and the 7th and open up your hearts ad wallets to these wonderful, little dogs. Below is some stuff we've lazily cut and pasted from the Ariescope (Green's production company) website. It contains some quotes from Lynch and Green along with Geeknation's Clare Kramer, and some more information regarding how you can contribute to Save A Yorkie Rescue Inc. an provide a little joy for your self and these dogs that really need it.
