M. Night Shyamalan Resurrects 'Tales From the Crypt' For TNT

The Crypt Keeper is back (or maybe not....depending on which article you read)! According to the good folks at Variety, M. Night Shymalan and the TNT Network as both announced today that they will be partners in reviving the classic horror anthology show "Tales From the Crypt." Much like the shows original run on HBO the show, which will borrow from the original comic series. Shymalan will will produce the series for TNT's new two hour horror block. TNT hasn't clued us in to what other shows will encompass the rest of the two hour set.

"Tales From The Crypt" originally ran on HBO from 1989 to 1996. In that time it became one of the most influential shows and proving grounds for many horror artists. The show spawned three feature films including the excellent Demon Night and the campy Bordello of Blood.

"To be part of such a beloved brand like "Tales From the Crypt," something I grew up watching, and to also have the chance to push the boundaries of genre television as a whole, is an inspiring opportunity that I can't wait to dive into" Shyamalan said.
