Watch 'The 'Scarehouse' Director Prank His Cast!

Remember a couple of days ago when we brought you the awesome trailer for The Scarehouse? No? Then you need to take a minute scroll down to the bottom of the page and watch it. We'll wait...Okay. Are you done? Good. As you can tell from the trailer, the film, which won first place at the prestigious New York City Horror Film Festival, takes place in a scarehouse (or haunted house for those of us in the U.S.) Well in typical hilarious Canadian fashion, director Gavin Michael Booth thought it would be hilarious if he sent his cast through an actual scarehouse before they could attend the premiere of the film. And you know what? He was right. It is pretty damn funny. You can check out the video of the prank as well as some other interesting tidbits about the film below:

The Scarehouse is written and directed by Gavin Michael Booth from a story by both Booth and his wife, Sarah, who also stars in the film. Sarah has had roles on "Hemlock Grove" and is set to have a recurring role on "Helix" Season 2. The film was filmed for  budget of $200,000 Canadian (do the conversion yourselves - I'm not your mathematician) and was shot inside an actual haunted Halloween attraction in Windsor, Ontario. The Scarehouse hit VOD via NBC Univarsal in the U.S. and D-Films in Canada on January 13th.
