'Refuge' Premieres at Toronto After Dark and Screamfest LA!

As you know if you are a frequent visitor of this site we are always trying to find something new and different to pass along to you. Whether its Crawl or Die or Revolution Trail, at DW we try to keep our ears to the ground and out eyes to the screen looking for the next big thing. However, sometimes something awesome just falls right in our lap, or in this case our in box. That's the case for Refuge.

Directed by Andrew Robertson, Refuge is "a post-apocalyptic thriller set in the ruins of a collapsed America, Refuge follows a family struggling to survive and rebuild a life in the wake of a catastrophic plague.  Living a lonely existence, boarded up in an abandoned house, the family endures and strives to maintain a sense of normalcy amidst a lawless world of roaming gangs and dwindling resources"

Check out the trailer:

That's simply one of the best trailers I've seen in quite a long time. And now you can see the film in it's entirety at both the Toronto After Dark Horror Festival and Screamfest LA! Refuge will be screened at Screamfest Saturday, October 18th at pm. So if you are going to be in the Los Angeles area this coming Saturday evening, make sure you stop by, catch the film, and support quality independent horror. Click HERE for more.

Refuge will also screen at Toronto After Dark, along with such films as Dead Snow 2, The ABC's of Death 2, and the Elijah Wood top lined Open Windows. You can check out Refuge on Wednesday, October 22nd at 7pm. Head over to torontoafterdark.com for more info.
