Check Out Michael C. Hall in the first trailer for Jim Mickles 'Cold In July'

About a week or so ago I finally got around to seeing director Jim Mickles excellent follow up to Stake Land, We are What We Are (reviews here and here). So it was pretty damn cool when, earlier today, we got a  look at the trailer for Mickels next film, Cold In July.

Dexter himself, Michael C. Hall, Sam Shepard, Don Johnson, and Mickle mainstay Nick Domici (who also wrote the script), star in the film that saw it's premiere at Sundance earlier in the year. Based on the 1989 Joe Landsdale novel, Hall plays a man who kills an unarmed intruder and then has to deal with the repercussions that follow. Check out the trailer:

Cold in July was shot up in my neck of the woods in Kingston, New York and will be available in limited theaters and on VOD on May the 23rd. You can bet DW will be firing up the old VOD service that day...and maybe...just maybe, you might see a review pop up shortly later...
