Morning (News) Dump 8/29

Welcome to your morning (news) dump for August 29th, 2013. This is your morning jolt of yesterdays horror happenings. We'll throw some trailers, previews, some casting news, come posters, really anything that catches our fancy from the day before. So fuck it, let's rock:

Two new TV Spots for Insidious Chapter 2

I loved James Wans' 'Insidious.' Patrick Wilson was great as expected, but I felt Rose Byrne really stole the show early on. Some folks had problems with the left turn the film takes once Lin Shaye shows up. You can read the full review here. You can also see the two new TV spots for the sequel here:

'Insidious Chapter 2' hits theaters on September 13th.

First Poster For Ti Wests and Eli Roths 'The Sacrament'

This project or pairing if you will really snuck past me, but yesterday the poster for the film popped up on line. West as you may know is the borderline genius behind 'House of The Devil' (review here) and 'The Innkeepers' (review here). Eli Roth, well if you don't know who Eli Roth is, please stop reading and leave the site. So these two guys are collaborating (West directing and Roth producing) on their next film 'The Sacrament'...check out the poster :

As you can tell by the poster, the film has a very Jim Jones/Jonestown feel. Entertainment Weekly dropped the plot summary : “Three magazine journalists (Joe Swanberg, AJ Bowen, and Kentucker Audley) visit a relative (Amy Seimetz) at a religious commune, where the mysterious Father (Gene Jones) is the unchallenged leader. Like all infamous cult tales, it doesn’t end well.”

Sounds cool.

That's it for this morning's dump. As always, thanks for reading and "enjoy every sandwich."
