IFC Aquires Eric England's 'Contracted'

Writer/Director and friend of the site (although he's a friendly guy, so take that for what it's worth) Eric England (Madison County) let it be known via his twitter feed that IFC has agreed to distribute his next film 'Contracted.' A short theatrical run will happen this November followed by a release to various VOD platforms.

'Contracted' stars Najarra Townsend, Matt Mercer, Alice Macdonald, Katie Stegeman, Simon Barrett, Charlie Koontz, and Caroline Williams.

And no, 'Contracted' has nothing to do with the fact there are far to many teams in the NBA (Charlotte? Really?). The film actually tells "the terrifying tale of a young girl who has a one-night stand with a stranger, contracting what she thinks is a sexually transmitted disease, but it is actually something far worse. As things begin to crumble around her, she’s sent on a disturbing and bloodcurdling journey." Which sounds a lot better than 2 hours of David Stern trying to defend a team called the "Pelicans."
