Psycho Sleepover (2008)

I've said it before, and I'll say it again : "The Troma channel on YouTube is the greatest thing to happen to a horror fan - ever". With that in mind I played a little "Troma Roulette" and landed on this fucked up little horror/comedy directed by Adam Deyoe and Eric Gosselin from 2008.

Debbie is a prude little 15 year old, who despite his prodding will not acquiesce and give him a "Blo J". Her boyfriends solution is to dress like a clown and try to kill her. As foten happens when you try to kill your girlfriend for not sucking your dick, the plan backfires when and turns the table on him. He ends up the dead one.

A year later Debbie and her mother have moved to the quiet little town of "Murderton" to start their lives anew. Debbie is a loner with no friends and no prospects so her mother hires a shrink to come and meet her. He tries to fuck her instead. Strangely, she gets invited to a sleepover by the popular girls, Ginny, Saly and Ugly Jen. At  the prodding of her mother she decides to go. She tells her shrink where the sleepover is and he decides to show up, but not before forgetting to lock the serial killer ward at the asylum.

The party progresses fine until Ginnys boyfriend ends up dead. Then the rest of the serial lilles arrive and thinks just get insane. Finally, Sallys shrink shows up to save the day. But who is he saving from whom?

'Psycho Sleepover' is exactly what you would expect from and under the radar Troma film. Boobs, gore, bad acting - all the classic staples are here. The film is actually really entertaining and very funny for the first 40 minutes or so. The middle act becomes very muddled though, too may serial killers, too much running around with nothing really happening. It gets it's legs back in the last 15 minutes or so with a twist thats way more intelligent than the film as a whole.

If you are a hardcore Troma fan, then definitely see this film. If you prefer your horror a little classier and highbrow, you should skip this one.
